The Rare Earth series uses state of the art Neodymium magnet coupled with an built in low noise preamp powered by two long lived lithium cells.
Although the Rare Earth is an elctromagnetic pickup the strenght of the neodymium core allows it the string clearance needed for a discreetly mounted soundhole pickup and its broad footprint gives it one of the truest acoustic sounds of any magnetic acoustic pickup on the market.
The Rare Earth is one of the few Fishman pickups which is easily demountable and can be self-fitted if required, although professional fitting of the end pin jack (which double as an inline jack if required) is recommended
