The Ellipse VT combines the market leading undersaddle transducer, the Fishman Acoustic Matrix, with an active preamp system in the new Ellipse system to give you fingertip control of your sound with minimal intrusion into the guitar's structure.
Built to Fishman's usual exacting standards of quality control and ergonomics, the onboard preamp features premium electronics with
Volume and Tone controls along with a feedback-busting Phase switch for when you can't get far enough away from your monitor. The unique Tone control ranges from natural undersaddle sound to the scooped-mid sound favoured by many acoustic players, just by moving a single slider. The addition of a voicing switch allows the installer to further tailor the response of the pickup to the requirements dictated by your guitar's size and body shape.
Signal output is via a Switchcraft endpin jack (Switchcraft are highest quality electronic components manufacturer in the US) which is very simple to install for a skilled professional and the unit is powered by readily available 9v PP3 batteries giving an expected battery life in excess of 200hrs.
